We partner with organisations to run cultural immersions over time, not as a one-off session: systems thinking, deficit discourse, strengths-based contemporary history, a day on Country, and First Nations content built for your organisation.
Cultural immersion with Buneen is a partnership, built with your organisation and run over time. It is not a cultural awareness session. Each immersion is shaped around your people and your work, and builds understanding stage by stage, so it stays with the team long after the first day.
A program brings together systems thinking, a close look at deficit discourse and how it shapes decisions, strengths-based contemporary history, an on-Country day, and First Nations content specific to your organisation. It is delivered through cultural facilitation: listening first, curiosity, and judging actions, never people. Participants are asked to think, not to perform.
Where a program involves Country, community or Elders, it is arranged with the right cultural authority and on community's terms.
The same three steps we use in every room, applied to a cultural immersion program.
We start with what your organisation does, who it works with and where its systems meet First Nations people, so the program speaks to your work.
We facilitate each stage of the immersion: systems, history, Country and your own context, held with respect for cultural authority and brought back to your own structures.
We help the team turn what it learned into changes it can make, and return to check what has shifted.
Tell us who the program is for and what you want to be different afterwards. A senior Buneen team member responds within two business days.
