Cultural audits and safety frameworks

Evidence, framework, embedded practice.

A diagnostic of where the organisation actually stands on cultural and psychological safety, mapped to AS/NZS ISO 45003:2021 and the relevant cultural safety standards, with a framework the organisation owns and the means to embed it. Evidenced findings written to be defensible in a board paper or a tender.

How we do it

Both strands are grounded in Be BRAVE Feel SAFE. Strategy that matters and audits that tell the truth depend on the same thing: brave spaces where people can be honest about where the organisation really is. Buneen builds those conditions first, so the direction set and the findings named are real rather than diplomatic. The practice in the room is Dhungai, a Yugambeh word taught to Shawn Andrews by an uncle: the deep listening that hears what the org chart and the survey miss.

The work is strengths-based and accountable. It is not a generic strategy template, and a cultural audit here is not a compliance tick. It is a diagnostic an organisation can act on and be measured against.

This work is designed for First Nations organisations, Traditional Owner Corporations, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, and the government and corporate bodies that work with them, particularly those carrying complex reform, or needing to evidence their cultural and psychological safety against a recognised standard. It can be procured as strategy, as a cultural and psychological safety audit, or as a single engagement that does both.
